We are delighted to announce that the Trustees of the Anglican Diocese of Tasmania have been accredited as a Partner of the CMA Standards Council. The Trustees are a statutorily incorporated body which hold and manage land and other assets on behalf of the Diocese of Tasmania. This is an important role and is part of the backroom “plumbing”which makes Anglican churches fit for purpose to carry out their Kingdom mission. Steve Kerr, the Executive Director of the CMA Standards Council, said “The Trustees hold a significant and trusted position within the Tasmanian Diocese. They are to be congratulated for taking their responsibilities seriously by ensuring that their governance meets our Principles and Standards of Responsible Stewardship. Their commitment to good governance, transparency and accountability bodes well for the care of the assets entrusted to their oversight.”
