Our Executive Director, Steve Kerr, took on the role of serving as Regional Facilitator for the South Pacific for Global Trust Partners (GTP) earlier this year. Vanessa Hall, the Chair of the CMA Standards Panel, also serves on the Board of GTP. GTP is an international organisation based in the USA acting as an umbrella group for the major Christian accountability organisations throughout the world, and proclaims its purpose to be “In obedient service to Jesus Christ, GTP multiplies disciples of faithful administration and mobilises peer accountability groups to increase gospel participation in every nation”.

Steve and Vanessa recently attended the first Global Gathering of the Board, Regional Facilitators and Staff of GTP in Dubai. Steve reported back that the Gathering was a time of powerful teaching, fellowship and concrete action discussions. He said “As a result of this Gathering, I feel even better equipped to not only advance the mission of the CMA Standards Council in Australia, but also assist other countries in the South Pacific to form their own peer accountability groups in their own countries. What a privilege it is to be part of a global movement to help build faith and trust in Churches and Christian agencies around the world!”

After successful public meetings in September in New Zealand with the GTP team, Steve and Gary Williams, the National Director of CMA, are holding further meetings in New Zealand on 18 and 19 November, to see if God wants to see a peer accountability group set up there. Please pray for these meetings, and if you know anyone in New Zealand who may have an interest in this area, please encourage them to register to attend one of the meetings.
